Kami of Whispered Hopes
Two green appetites welded onto one small body, and the sharpness is that they feed each other. The first half sits in the Hardened Scales lineage: not a doubler but an adder, quietly slipping one extra +1/+1 counter onto anything you grow. On its own that is incremental, a rounding error made relevant only by volume. The tap ability is where the loop closes. It converts this creature's power into a burst of any one color, so every counter that lands on it (and the bonus counter it manufactures for itself) becomes not just a bigger threat but a bigger mana battery. It enters as a 1/1 that already taps for a single mana, so it is never dead; it simply starts small. Then the two abilities begin sharing a resource. Put a counter on it and the replacement effect makes that two; tap it and that inflated power pours out as fixing; spend the fixing on more counters and the cycle tightens. Growth is ramp, and ramp buys more growth. The brake is the fragile frame and the flat-plus-one bonus, which never scales into a multiplier: the card amplifies rather than generates, and it wants a deck already stacking counters to turn its trickle into an avalanche. It sits at the crossing of two green obsessions and asks the deck to bring both.
