Token fliers, sitting at mana value zero, mark that floor precisely: their death still triggers the ability, but with nothing in the graveyard cheaper than zero to target, the trigger finds no legal target and never reaches the stack. That makes tokens pure evasive fodder, useful for blocking and pressure but silent on the recursion axis, which lives entirely with the non-token fliers further up the curve.
