Eight mana for the whole board. Where most Threaten effects steal one creature for a turn, this empties the table of opponents: every creature they control untaps, swings to your side, and gains haste long enough to attack the player who built it. The cost is the throttle. At three red pips and a sorcery-speed cast, it is built to be the last thing you do before you win, not a midgame tempo play, and the haste clause is what closes the loop: stolen creatures that could not attack the turn you took them would just bounce back, so the design hands you a single all-or-nothing combat step. It rewards the kind of stalemate that mass-Threaten effects were invented to break, the clogged ground state where each player sits behind a wall of blockers nobody wants to trade. Insurrection turns that gridlock into a one-sided alpha strike, and the more bodies on the board, the larger the swing it generates: a symmetrical board becomes a lethal asymmetry the moment it resolves. It is the maximalist version of an idea red had been refining since Threaten and Ray of Command, scaled up until the price tag and the payoff are both as large as the format allows.
