Herald's Horn
Tribal decks have always fought two problems at once: the flood of do-nothing lategame draws and the mana tax of casting a curve full of the same creature type. This artifact answers both in a single colorless slot, which is why it slots into nearly any tribal build regardless of color identity. The cost reduction is the flashier half, shaving a mana off every relevant creature spell and letting a deck deploy faster than its curve suggests. But the upkeep dig is the piece that keeps the engine running over a long game: peeking at the top card each turn and pulling it if it matches converts what would be a dead draw step into a slow but reliable stream of gas. The design discipline is that both halves point the same direction. You name one type, and the horn rewards you for having committed hard to it rather than splashing. That single-type constraint is what separates it from a generic cost reducer or a generic card-advantage rock: it is a payoff for tribal density, not a flexible value piece. The dig also stacks harmlessly with any other top-of-library manipulation a tribal deck might run, since it only asks a yes-or-no question of whatever is on top. For a strategy defined by playing many small copies of one creature type, it is close to the cleanest three-mana engine the color pie allows, because colorless means every tribe gets to run it.
