Blitz was designed as a controlled cost-reduction sacrifice mechanic: pay a cheaper price, get haste and a death-draw, hand the creature back once the turn ends. Under this Jund devil, that trade applies to a whole category at once: every creature spell of mana value 4 or greater you cast picks up blitz priced at its full mana cost, so the fat payoffs a reanimator or ramp deck normally has to hardcast for lasting value can instead be flung out for a turn of impact and a card when they die. The engine's second clause is the real lever. Each time you've cast the commander from the command zone, blitz costs drop by one, so the format's own commander tax runs in reverse here: the number that usually punishes recursion becomes a discount on every big creature you cast. That inverts the standard midrange incentive to keep a commander safe in play; the reward comes from getting it killed and paying to bring it back, again and again, until eight-drops cost a pittance to blitz. What holds the loop together is that every blitzed creature is spent goods (sacrificed once the turn is over, drawing a card as it goes), which weds the whole plan to sacrifice-fodder and death-trigger payoffs without the ability ever naming them. It is a build-around that turns bulky, unwieldy creatures into a stream of disposable haste threats.
