Hazezon, Shaper of Sand
The original Hazezon Tamar was a five-mana Naya lord whose token count keyed off your land total, a slow and math-heavy engine that only paid out a turn after it arrived. This reimagining relocates the whole strategy onto a single card type: Deserts. Every Desert that enters spits out two Sand Warriors, which turns a mundane land drop into a two-body swing and rewards a deck built to replay lands rather than accumulate them. The graveyard clause is the piece that makes the engine loop: because Hazezon lets you play Deserts straight from the yard, sacrifice fodder, fetch effects, and even land destruction aimed at your own Deserts all become fuel, feeding those lands back to keep the token faucet running. Desertwalk closes the loop with a wink, cashing in the evasion against any opponent who happens to be running Deserts of their own. What ties it together is the mana value dropping to three, which pulls the payoff forward two full turns from its predecessor and reframes Hazezon from a top-end finisher into an early engine that snowballs. The body itself stays a modest 3/3 that expects its tokens to do the fighting; the Sand Warriors are the win condition, and the Deserts are the deck.
