The blink here points inward, which is the whole trick. Most white flicker aims at an opponent's creature for tempo or at your own on your terms; this one exiles a creature or artifact you control when it enters and hands it back at the next end step, with no say over the timing once the trigger goes on the stack. That fixed return window is the design's real lever. The single enters-the-battlefield blink re-fires an enters-the-battlefield ability without needing a sacrifice outlet or a separate flicker spell, clears auras and unwanted counters an opponent has hung on your permanents, and untaps and resets whatever it targets. Because it costs three mana and lacks flash, none of this happens reactively: it is a sorcery-speed play, so it cannot answer removal on the stack or bail a creature out of a bad block. The reset is proactive value, not a protection trick, and it happens once, on arrival, not on a loop. The "up to one" wording keeps the trigger from ever stranding you: with nothing worth blinking, it simply resolves as a 3/3 flier. That is the sharpest line against Restoration Angel, the standing comparison for a white flicker body with evasion. The Angel's power is its flash, letting it ambush and protect at instant speed. This one trades that reactivity entirely for a one-shot value trigger stapled to a flying clock: a single end-step refresh you commit to on your own turn, not a combat-and-removal answer you hold up.
