Grime Gorger

Creature — Horror2 generic manaBlack manaGreen mana

Graveyard hate usually asks you to spend a card doing nothing but denying an opponent; the trick here is that it folds the denial into the attack step, where you were already committing resources. The exile is sized to the diversity of what's buried, not the raw count: the trigger grabs at most one card of each type, so a yard holding a creature, an instant, a sorcery, and an artifact hands you four counters, while a graveyard full of nothing but lands offers only one. That is the sharper design point, because the payout tracks how much the opponent has been leaning on their yard. It bites flashback shells, delve decks, and reanimator engines exactly where they hurt, and it grows the body while doing it, turning incremental disruption into a genuine clock. Crucially, this is an attack trigger, not a combat-damage trigger: it fires the moment the creature is declared as an attacker, before blocks, so the exile and the counters happen whether or not anything stands in the way. Menace still shapes the fight by taxing two blockers, but the graveyard tax is already collected by the time blockers are chosen. The window that matters, then, is the declaration itself: get it into the attack step, and the yard pays regardless of what happens after.
