Grifter's Blade
Flash is the entire pitch, and it rewrites what a +1/+1 equipment can do. Most equipment is a slow investment: you cast it onto an empty board, then pay the equip cost a turn later, two turns of telegraphing before it touches combat. This one collapses that into a single instant-speed window. Hold up three mana through your opponent's attack step or end step, then drop it pre-attached to a creature already in play, no equip cost on the way in. The flash-plus-enters-attached package turns a modest stat boost into a combat trick that sticks around: ambush a blocker into a favorable trade, push lethal at instant speed, or simply staple a permanent +1/+1 onto a creature the opponent now has to play around. The timing is the whole point, not the buff. Three mana to enter and attach is steep for a single point of stats, and the cheap equip afterward only matters once the equipped creature dies and you want to relocate it. This is an early instance of the idea that an equipment's value can live in when it arrives rather than what it grants, a design that later equipment with flash and similar enters-attached language would push much harder.
