Gnarled Professor
A 5/4 with trample for four mana is a fair green beater on its own; the Learn trigger is the value margin stacked on top of a body that already earns its slot. Learn is the mechanic that let a creature carry conditional card advantage without the printing having to guess whether you'd have a use for it: pull a Lesson you own into your hand for whatever toolbox effect the board calls for, or, when nothing in the sideboard is worth grabbing, discard a dead card to draw a fresh one. That second mode is the quiet insurance that keeps the trigger from ever fully whiffing, so the card stays an easy include even when the Lesson package is thin. The tension the designers were working around is that green rarely gets clean card selection: this keyword hands it a green-legal loot effect bolted to a creature aggressive enough to close on its own. The result pays a small dividend the turn it lands (smoothing a draw or fetching a removal Lesson) while still threatening five trampling damage. It's a workhorse, not a bomb: the trample lifts it past vanilla, and the Learn trigger is a modest tax refund on a statline that already pulls plenty of freight.
