The scalable wrath that prices itself to the table. Where Damnation kills creatures flat and Pernicious Deed asks you to detonate it at a fixed moment, this one folds the X into the destruction itself: every nonland permanent at or below the value you pay falls, and you choose that ceiling on the turn you cast it. That puts the entire board state under one knob. Pay small and clear out tokens and one-drops while your own bombs survive above the line; pay large and erase planeswalkers, enchantments, and artifacts alongside the creatures, accepting that your own cheaper permanents go too. The double-black-plus-green cost is the only thing keeping it from being a colorless answer to everything: it commits you to a specific two-color graveyard-and-attrition shell rather than slotting into any deck that wants a sweeper. The design lives in the gap between symmetry and selectivity. It is symmetric in that it does not discriminate by controller, but the X gives you a lever symmetry usually denies a sweeper, letting you set the destruction just under your own most expensive threat and just over the opponent's developed board. The cost in mana value, not in any keyword restriction, is what makes that lever honest: every point of selectivity you buy is a point of mana you have to find first.
