Game of Chaos

SorceryRed manaRed manaRed mana

The purest expression of the coin-flip design lineage, and the one that turned a gimmick into a genuine wager. Earlier flip cards settled on a single toss with a fixed outcome; this one builds a ladder, doubling the stakes with every successive flip and handing the decision to whoever is currently winning the exchange. That escalation structure is the whole point: the life totals on the line are 1, then 2, then 4, then 8, compounding until somebody loses a flip and surrenders both the swing and the choice. Symmetry is what holds the power in check. A loss does not just stop the bleeding; it reverses the polarity, so the opponent gains the life you would have drained and gets to decide whether to press their luck right back at you. There is no rate to evaluate here, only a probability tree where each node trades expected value for variance. The triple-red sorcery cost ensures it stays a committed red play rather than a splashable trick, and the all-or-nothing math turns it away from clean removal-adjacent burn and toward something stranger: a gambling table you set up mid-game and then dare an opponent to sit down at. It is the card that asked whether a coin flip could be a decision instead of an accident, and answered by making every flip after the first a question of nerve.

Flip a coin. If you win the flip, you gain 1 life and target opponent loses 1 life, and you decide whether to flip again. If you lose the flip, you lose 1 life and that opponent gains 1 life, and that player decides whether to flip again. Double the life stakes with each flip.
