Frontier Seeker

Creature — Human Scout1 generic manaWhite mana

Two-drops that dig for lands are a familiar white pattern, but this one narrows and sharpens the search in a way built for a specific archetype: it will only surface a Plains or a Mount, and it looks five deep to do it. That dual mandate is the tell. In a deck that leans on Mount creatures as a subtheme, the same enters trigger smooths early land drops and refills the threat count, so it never rots into a dead body once your mana is settled. The bottoming clause (the rest go to the bottom in random order rather than the top) keeps it from stacking your draws, which is the concession a two-mana selection spell pays for its width: you get one card, chosen from a wide window, and the rest are gone. As a 2/1 for 1 generic manaWhite mana it is a fragile clock, priced to be the glue in a curve rather than a payoff, and its value tracks directly with how many Mounts and Plains you run. Outside a Mount-centered shell it degrades into a strictly-worse land tutor on a body that dies to almost anything, which is precisely the design intent: a common-rarity enabler that rewards committing to the mechanic it was printed to support, and does very little for a deck that ignores it.

When this creature enters, look at the top five cards of your library. You may reveal a Mount creature card or a Plains card from among them and put it into your hand. Put the rest on the bottom of your library in a random order.
