Firesong and Sunspeaker
Two clerics stapled together to answer a question almost nobody asks: what if Boros ran on spells instead of bodies? The color pair has always been the one that hits things and goes wide, so a spell-slinging payoff in these colors is swimming upstream from the start. The first ability is the plain half: it grants lifelink to every red instant and sorcery you control, so a Banefire now heals you for its full damage rather than just dealing it. The second ability is the fussy one, and the wording is where the whole thing lives or dies. It fires only when a white instant or sorcery causes you to gain life, and then it deals 3 damage to a target creature or player: not planeswalkers, not any target, just those two. A mono-red burn spell will gain you life through the granted lifelink but never pull that trigger, and a lifegain permanent, no matter how prolific, does nothing here. The engine wants white life-swing spells specifically, the kind that heal and now double as reach. The 4/6 body absorbs the incidental pings that clear fragile enablers, which matters because both abilities vanish the instant it leaves play. The real friction is the deckbuilding demand: a red burn suite and a white lifegain-spell suite in one list, two halves that rarely want to share a manabase, let alone a turn.
