Everybody Lives!
The Fog effect taken to its absolute conclusion. Where most damage-prevention pieces just stop combat for a turn, this one revokes the entire menu of ways a game ends: no life loss, no losing, and, crucially, no winning either. That self-imposed lockout is the design honesty. A blanket "you can't lose" would just be a stall wearing a halo, so the card pays for its total defense by locking its own controller out of a kill on the same turn. It resolves a paradox older prevention cards never had to face: once you make loss impossible, you have to make victory impossible too, or the effect becomes an unbeatable finisher rather than a reprieve. The result is a two-mana reset button that buys exactly one turn of complete safety for everyone at once, then hands the game back untouched. Every creature gains hexproof and indestructible, the players themselves get hexproof, and any alternate-win trigger, any lethal combo, any life-loss loop simply fails to close in that window (note that only creatures get the shroud of indestructibility, so planeswalkers, artifacts, and enchantments are still fair game). It is a purely reactive card with no proactive angle whatsoever, which is where flavor and function meet: an instant that exists solely to insist, against every threat on the stack, that the story does not end here.
