Charge-counter payoffs almost always live on artifacts or creatures that grind toward a threshold on their own; putting the mechanic on a land, and feeding it by tapping the rest of your board at sorcery speed, is what makes this one worth a second look. The counters arrive in bulk, equal to a creature's power, so a fat attacker floods the Planet toward the twelve-counter line faster than a swarm of tokens would. Before you clear that line it is a green source that came in tapped, no better than a sluggish basic. Cross it and the payoff scales with everything you have on the battlefield: pay green, tap the land, and generate mana proportional to your creature count. Ramp lands usually deliver their full value the instant they resolve and flatten from there. This inverts the curve, demanding an up-front investment (tapping attackers you might rather send into combat) in exchange for a mana engine whose ceiling rises with every creature you commit. The sorcery-speed restriction on the keyword is doing quiet, important work: you cannot bank counters mid-combat or in response to a wrath, so the buildup is public and the eventual dump is telegraphed. Everything about it points toward a wide, creature-dense deck and offers a control shell nothing at all, a strikingly pointed identity for a card that enters costing nothing and, until it stations, taps for a single green.
