Red rarely gets to play the impulse-draw game on its own terms; usually it burns through the top of the library and dares you to spend the exiled card before it evaporates at end of turn. This one rewrites that clock around a sacrifice engine instead. Every nontoken permanent you throw away exiles a card, and once you've sacrificed a nontoken permanent this turn the permission to play those cards is switched on, which means the payoff scales with how many bodies, artifacts, and lands you can send to the graveyard in a single window rather than punishing you for holding cards past cleanup. The land-sacrifice ability closes the loop: it doubles as ramp and as fuel, letting a land pull double duty as the resource you sacrifice and the two red mana that pays for what you dug up. That is the tension worth noticing. Every sacrifice both stocks the exile pile and unlocks it, so the card wants a deck that treats permanents as ammunition, not investments. The 2/2 body is beside the point; this is a value-conversion piece that turns aristocrat triggers into raw card advantage, an axis red usually reaches only by generating tokens and burning through them. Here the restriction to nontoken permanents keeps that avenue closed and points the design toward genuine board commitment, which is a more demanding and more interesting cost than a token engine would pay.
