Encroaching Dragonstorm

Enchantment3 generic manaGreen mana

Ramp that pays you twice: once when it lands and again when it gets out of your way. The entry trigger is a plain two-land fetch stapled to an enchantment, comparable to Explosive Vegetation but permanent-shaped, and by itself it is unremarkable four-mana fixing. The second clause is the design idea: the moment a Dragon you control enters, the enchantment bounces itself back to your hand. Land a Dragon, take the enchantment back, recast it, fetch two more, and a one-shot ramp spell becomes a recurring one. The tension the card resolves is that most fixing spells are inert cards after they resolve; this one keeps a foot in your hand as long as the Dragons keep arriving, converting a single card into an ongoing mana investment rather than a spent one. The catch is that the loop only exists if your board is doing what the card wants: with no Dragon to trigger the bounce, it is just a four-mana two-land enchantment sitting there doing nothing further. That conditionality is the price for a ramp piece that refuses to stay used, and it is what separates a genuine tribal payoff from a generic accelerant. The card is worth the slot precisely to the degree your list is committed to putting Dragons into play, which makes it a barometer of that commitment as much as an enabler of it.
