Drakuseth, Maw of Flames
The attack trigger reads like a small burn spell stapled to a beater: four damage to one target and three each to up to two others, thrown every time this Dragon swings. The design gives you freedom over how the ten spreads out, and the wording is precise: the four goes wherever you want (including the opponent's face), but the two three-point riders must go to other targets, so you can never dump the whole payload onto a single life total. That restriction shapes exactly how it plays. Point all three prongs at the opponent's board and you clear a wide defense before combat damage is even assigned; aim the four at their face and split the riders across two blockers and you thin their board while chipping in on top of seven flying power. The four-and-three-and-three structure sweeps efficiently: four kills most midrange threats outright, and the riders mop up the smaller bodies that would gang-block a seven-mana flier. The tax on all this is the entry fee and the timing. Seven mana with a triple-red commitment means it arrives late, and the trigger only fires on attack, so the Dragon is inert on the turn it resolves and demands you keep it alive and swinging to collect. That attack-only condition draws a sharp line for opponents: a removal spell on the end step, before you ever declare an attacker, refunds them everything.
