Disruptor of Currents

Flash and convoke on the same bounce-on-entry body reframe what instant-speed value costs you. Flash alone makes a 3/3 available at your opponent's end step or in response to a spell, which normally means holding five mana open across a turn. Convoke changes the currency: you can assemble this from creatures already on the board instead of untapped lands. The timing catch is real. Attackers tap in combat and cannot be spent again, so the convoke fuel comes from creatures that stayed back on defense, from mana dorks and utility bodies that never swung, or from a board built with next turn in mind. That is the wrinkle worth building around. Reactive creatures usually force a choice between developing your board and keeping interaction live; here a defensive stance doubles as a threat you can flash out, paid for in idle creatures rather than open mana. The bounce clause is deliberately soft (up to one, any other nonland permanent), so it functions as a reset button as readily as a tempo play: re-arm your own enters-the-battlefield trigger, rescue a creature from removal on the stack, or peel an opposing permanent back a turn. Convoke has historically lived on aggressive, board-flooding shells casting something oversized ahead of curve; grafting it onto a flash tempo tool points the mechanic toward controlling decks that want interaction live without leaving mana open to advertise it.
