Deadwood Treefolk

Creature — Treefolk5 generic manaGreen mana

Vanishing usually reads as a tax: you get a discounted creature, and the counters quietly count down to nothing. Here it pays out twice. The recursion trigger fires on entry and again on the way out, so the same self-destruct clause that normally robs you of a permanent instead guarantees a second graveyard pull on a fixed three-turn timer. You are not getting a 3/6 that disappears; you are getting two creature cards back from your yard with a body attached in between. That doubling is what justifies the six-mana price, and it rewards a graveyard already stocked with things worth raising. Blink it, bounce it, or sacrifice it before the timers expire and the math gets ugly fast: every flicker is two more returns, the second on re-entry. Even left alone, the inevitability of vanishing turns a downside keyword into a delivery mechanism, the sacrifice trigger doing constructive work rather than punishing you. As a planar-shifted Treefolk, it takes a mechanic built to giveth and taketh away and lands squarely on the side that giveth.
