Skulk is a strange keyword to hang a payoff on, because the buff and the evasion don't interact the way you might fear. You might worry that as its power climbs, more of the defender's board qualifies as a legal blocker: a bigger attacker looks like an easier one to stop, not a harder one. But that tension never bites here. The attack trigger only fires when the creature is unblocked, so the reward is contingent on the evasion having already worked. The self-pump lands after blockers are declared, so it can never talk you out of the very condition that pays you. And the count is not settled early: because the ability triggers on attacking-and-unblocked, it resolves during the Declare Blockers step, so the number of attacking artifact creatures is tallied on resolution. A defender's instant-speed removal that clears an attacker, or an effect that puts an artifact creature onto the battlefield attacking, still moves the math after blocks are locked. What it actually rewards is a wide, cheap artifact board where this attacker sneaks in around a cluttered defense, then cashes the rest of the team's presence into a lethal-sized hit on an open lane. It pumps itself, not the squad, and only in a turn where the artifact count is already committed to the swing. Modest as a standalone body, it becomes a finisher once a go-wide robot deck has built the board it wants to attack out of.
