Culvert Ambusher

Lure effects have always suffered from a fatal timing gap: they telegraph the ambush a full turn before the swing, giving the opponent every chance to sandbag their blockers or find removal for the creature doing the pointing. Disguise closes that gap. Cast face down, this is an anonymous 2/2 with ward, and when it flips it drags a single target creature into an unwanted block on the spot. That is the wrinkle worth dwelling on: the "blocks this turn if able" trigger fires on the turn-up, so the flip and the combat math happen in the same window, and a defender who left one creature untapped to trade with your attacker suddenly finds that creature yanked in front of the wrong body. A 4/5 that eats a chump-blocker of its own choosing during an alpha strike is a very different card from a 4/5 that announces its intentions on cast. The forced block is a single target rather than the board-wide taunt of a true lure, which keeps it honest, but it also means the ability doubles as pseudo-removal: point it at the creature you most want dead in combat, back the block with a trick or a bigger attacker, and the wurm functions as a combat-step assassin rather than a blunt aggro threat. The face-down mode is the whole reason the effect lands when it matters instead of a turn too early.
