Crisis of Conscience

Sorcery4 generic manaWhite manaWhite mana

The wrath that reads the room before it fires. Where most white board sweepers ask nothing of you but the mana, this one splits the decision at cast time: nuke the token board, or nuke everything that isn't a land or a token. That modal split is the whole design idea. It lets a deck built on real permanents (creatures, planeswalkers, enchantments) blow up an opposing swarm of tokens while keeping its own developed board intact, then flip the other way against a control mirror where tokens are irrelevant and the artifacts and enchantments are the problem. The second mode is close to an Akroma's Vengeance in scope, hitting planeswalkers and noncreature permanents alongside creatures, but the pointed exclusion of tokens on that mode is deliberate: it means the sweeper that clears a battlefield of engines leaves a Servo army untouched, and vice versa. Six mana at sorcery speed is the price for that flexibility, and the double white keeps it firmly in the color that has always paid the most for symmetrical resets. The card's real appeal is to a pilot who knows which half of the board is winning and wants to erase only the other half.
