Crackling Spellslinger
Storm has always dictated the turn from the front: empty the hand of cheap spells, chain into a payoff, copy the finale for everything cast before it. Bolting that mechanic onto a body that arrives at flash speed quietly rewrites the ritual's geometry. The trigger is gated by the "if you cast it" clause, which shuts the reward off when the creature is blinked, reanimated, or otherwise put onto the battlefield without being cast: no storm from a recursion loop, only from actually casting it. In exchange, the flash lets you deploy the enabler at instant speed and arm the payoff window without committing your mana during your own main phase the way a fixed storm card forces. The scope is what pays for that flexibility: storm attaches to a single upcoming instant or sorcery, one spell, no bank, no carryover. But because the mechanic latches onto a spell you have not cast yet rather than one cast on the spot, the turn stays open after the trigger resolves. You can keep loading the storm count with artifacts, creatures, planeswalkers, whatever the mana affords, and only then cast the spell that forks. That inverts storm's usual sequencing problem, where the payoff sits stranded until the chain assembles; here the assembly can happen on either side of the trigger, and the fork arrives as a modular attachment you point wherever the copies do the most work. The 2/2 is incidental. The value lives in the choice of which spell gets to multiply.
