Collective Inferno

Damage doublers usually cost their multiplier in fragility: they attach to a single body, or they sit on a permanent that dies to any removal aimed at the wrong half of the equation. This one splits the difference by living in the enchantment slot and keying off a creature type rather than a single source, so every dragon, every goblin, every elemental you control deals its damage twice at once. Combat damage, burn stapled to a creature, ping abilities: all of it, and none of it shared with your opponent, which is what keeps this from being a symmetrical Furnace of Rath variant. Narrowing to one chosen type means the reward scales with how far you committed to that type before the enchantment ever resolved. What convoke resolves here is a timing problem: a five-mana build-around normally lands a turn too late to matter in an aggressive shell, so the cost gets discounted by the exact resource the payoff feeds on, the board itself. But the discount extracts a real price. Creatures tapped to convoke it sit out the combat step that turn, so the choice is stark: deploy the doubler now with a board that has to wait a turn to swing under it, or hold up and cast it clean once you can spare the mana. The engine and the attackers draw from the same pool, and you rarely get both on the same turn.
