The entry ability is the loot-plus-one that graveyard decks have always wanted at the front of a card rather than buried in an activated cost: discard the dead cards, draw more than you pitched, and stock the yard in the same breath. That first half feeds the second. This is a reanimator payoff that pays off every reanimation, not just the fatty you fetched back. The trigger keys on one or more other creatures you control entering from a graveyard or being cast from one, and it rewards the whole board rather than the returned creature alone. A single Reveillark loop, a recurring Gravecrawler, or a mass return like Living Death turns each re-entry into an army-wide anthem pump. The design tension worth noting is the split personality: the enters-the-battlefield card advantage helps any deck that wants to churn its hand, while the counter engine is dead weight unless you are actively cycling creatures through the graveyard. Building around the second ability commits you to a recursion shell; ignore it and you have paid four mana for a rummaging 4/4 that swings once. Where the card earns its keep is a build that mines the graveyard for repeat re-entries, so that every creature clawing its way back also makes the rest of the team bigger. It is the aristocrats-and-reanimator overlap given a body, a leader for a deck that wins by refusing to let its creatures stay dead.
