Captain America, Team Leader
The counter distribution is where this design earns its Jeskai identity. Most tribal payoff cards reward the board at large or pump only themselves; here every Hero that enters buffs both the newcomer and Captain America in lockstep, so its own size scales with how wide you go rather than with equipment or spells. Granting vigilance and haste to each arriving Hero commits the deck to attacking immediately: a fresh Hero can enter, join the assault, and still stay back to block, which lets the deck flood the board and turn the corner in a single development step. Red and blue supply the flicker and reanimation effects that re-trigger the entry ability, stacking counters faster than a linear go-wide plan would suggest. The whole engine is gated behind the word "Hero," a creature type narrow enough that the counters only accrue when the deck is genuinely committed to the subtheme. Nothing about the 3/3 body threatens on its own; the payoff lives entirely in the accumulation, and it grows into a real clock only after several Heroes have passed through the battlefield. It is a leader-of-the-team design in the most literal sense: harmless as a lone attacker, dangerous the moment it has a squad behind it.
