Most Equipment payoffs treat the gear as the reward and the wielder as a delivery vehicle; this one inverts the incentive by scaling a bonus per Equipment on a single body. The +2/+0 stacks with each Equipment attached, so a throwaway trinket like Bone Saw becomes meaningful damage the instant it clips on, and a creature hauling two or three pieces threatens far more than the individual attach effects would suggest. The reward, then, is quantity of cheap gear on one threat rather than a single premium Sword, which pushes deckbuilding toward a swarm of near-free artifacts instead of the usual "attach a blade and swing" arithmetic. The free equip each turn is the tempo engine beneath all of it: sorcery-speed reattachment is normally the tax that makes Equipment sluggish, so waiving the first equip cost every turn lets the board rearrange for nothing, ferrying an artifact off a dead creature onto a live one or suiting up a fresh attacker without spending mana. The 5/3 body is the deliberate soft spot: a Dwarf who multiplies Equipment output wants to be the one carrying the load, but three toughness keeps him inside ordinary removal and combat ranges, making protection of the engine the real cost of running him. The dwarven-forge flavor lands cleanly: a smith whose hands never stop swapping gear, whose presence makes every hammer strike bite harder.
