Brass's Bounty

Sorcery6 generic manaRed mana

Seven mana for a mana spell only pencils out on a developed board, and that scaling is the whole design conceit: the payoff keys off lands you already control, so casting it early is a trap and casting it wide is a windfall. What comes back is not permanent ramp but a stack of one-shot Treasure tokens, artifacts that convert color freely, vanish as you spend them, and feed anything that cares about artifacts entering, leaving, or being sacrificed. That sacrificial, single-use texture is what separates it from both a ritual and a land ramp piece. A ritual frontloads mana for one explosive turn; land ramp raises your mana ceiling permanently. This sits between them, banking a burst of flexible, expendable fuel you can deploy across several turns or dump all at once, and you can crack the fresh Treasures the same turn if you want the mana immediately. The tension is the entry fee against a return that, on a large board, easily outstrips it: resolve it while controlling seven lands and you roughly break even, resolve it with ten or eleven and it refunds far more than you laid down. Waiting is the price and the reward is a reservoir that does double duty, combo enabler and color-fixing in a single cast.
