Birthing Ritual

Birthing Pod's logic rebuilt as a passive engine that fires on your end step rather than as a repeatable sorcery-speed activation, and the change in shape matters more than it looks. Pod let you convert on your own turn, as many times as you could untap and pay for it; this ticks exactly once per turn, on your clock, and only if you already control a creature. That single-fire cadence is what the rest of the design buys back. In return you get a wider net: instead of tutoring the one creature at the exact next mana value up, it digs seven deep and lets you land any creature at X or less, where X is one plus what you sacrificed. The randomized bottoming keeps you from stacking the same seven each turn, so the engine rewards a chain of ascending bodies rather than a two-card loop. The look-first structure is quietly generous, too: you scout the top seven before committing a sacrifice, so a whiff never costs you a creature. It is the toolbox-chain archetype (climb the curve one creature at a time, each one setting up the next) rebuilt for a color that already traffics in fatties and sacrifice fodder, but slowed to a heartbeat you cannot rush. Where Pod asked how much mana you had, this asks how patient you are willing to be.
