Be'lakor, the Dark Master
The demon-tribal payoff that finally made "count your Demons" a build-around worth the deckbuilding cost. Two triggers do very different work in the same 6/5 body. Prince of Chaos is a one-shot refill priced in life, a burst of cards scaled to your board that punishes overextension and rewards a wide demon base. Lord of Torment is the engine that matters: every subsequent Demon that enters throws its power at any target, which turns a tribe built for beefy fliers into a repeatable removal battery. A Demon with high power and a death-or-flicker loop stops being just a threat and becomes a machine gun. That second ability points at any target, so it clears blockers, burns opposing commanders, and closes the game from the air, all off triggers you were already generating by playing the tribe. The tension in the design is that the payoff is loudest exactly when your demon count is highest, which is also when Prince of Chaos costs the most life; the card wants you to have a board before it arrives, then rewards you for continuing to flood it. What makes this the synthesis rather than another Demon lord is that it doesn't ask for a specific spell or a sacrifice outlet: it converts the tribe's native tendency (expensive fliers entering the battlefield) directly into card advantage and reach, in three colors deep enough to support both the recursion and the fixing.
