Anaconda

Creature — Snake3 generic manaGreen mana

Swampwalk is the cleanest possible demonstration of landwalk's central idea: evasion that costs nothing on the card itself but depends entirely on what the opponent is doing. Across the table from a black deck, this Snake attacks unblocked every turn; against anyone not running a Swamp, the keyword text might as well be blank, and the card reverts to a plain 3/3. That binary outcome was the point for an audience opening their first packs, learning to read the colors across the table before committing to an attack. It is also why landwalk has always sat near the bottom of the constructed power curve: the keyword is out of the controller's hands, which makes it reliable precisely when you least need the help and dead precisely when you do. There is no decision embedded in the card, only a question about the opponent's manabase. The Snake typing and the workmanlike body are incidental; the design was built to show a mechanic in isolation, not to win games against opponents who know how to build around a static evasion clause.
