The number 20 is the whole design, and reaching it exactly is a puzzle the card solves for you. Each instance of lifegain fires one explore, regardless of how much life you gained, and the wipe is checked during the resolution of every individual explore trigger, so the board destruction goes off the instant power reaches exactly 20. There is no overshooting: the check happens mid-climb, not after, because explore adds at most a single +1/+1 counter per trigger (a land reveal goes to hand and leaves power untouched). That turns the deckbuilder's problem into a mostly additive one, but the timing is stricter than it looks, since a nonland reveal steps power up by exactly one while a land reveal steps it up by zero. The real work is threading repeatable, granular lifegain into the shell: a persistent drain, a lifelink attacker connecting, any value loop that fires the trigger over and over, because the sweep spares its own source. She strides out of the rubble at 20 power while the opponent's board is gone. The Ward cost is the quietly vicious detail, and it cuts the opposite way from most protection: rather than demanding mana, it bleeds three life out of whoever wants to target her, punishing removal on the body itself. The tension that remains is not landing on the number (the ability guarantees that) but building a library and a lifegain cadence reliable enough to get there before the game slips away.
