That single reversal is what keeps the effect honest without capping its ceiling: the copies are free to you, so the game slowly funnels resources across the table, and the question the card poses is whether your extra copies close faster than the accumulating cards you are gifting. The three-lane trigger (one instant, one sorcery, one Otter per turn) is a deckbuilding puzzle rather than a repeatable loop; wringing all three copies from a single turn rewards a spell suite built to hit each category rather than just stacking cheap burn. Spell-copy build-arounds have historically leaned on cost reduction or storm-adjacent math to snowball; the "you may" and the drawback attached to opponents make this a slower, more surgical version of that idea, one where you copy the spells that matter and decline when the gift would arm the wrong player. The 3/5 body is quietly relevant too: durable enough to survive a sweeper's aftermath and keep the engine online, which is precisely the trait a build-around leader needs when the whole plan collapses if the legend dies.
