Adagia, Windswept Bastion

Land — Planet

Station is the mechanic that lets a land grow into a payoff without ever asking for mana, and this one shows how far that ratchet can climb. The charge counters accumulate by tapping your own creatures, which folds a piece of combat math into the ramp: every creature you divert into the Planet is a body you are not attacking with, so the climb to twelve is paid in tempo rather than cards or mana. What waits at the top is not a splashy game-ender but a slow, repeatable engine, a way to duplicate your best artifact or enchantment as a legendary copy at sorcery speed. The design tension sits in that gap between a white-producing tapland anyone can run and a threshold most decks will never reach; the counter total is a commitment, not a milestone you stumble into. Because Station only works at sorcery speed and the payoff does too, there is no ambushing an opponent with a sudden clone: the whole arc telegraphs itself turns in advance, which is precisely the trade for stapling a copy engine onto a land that costs nothing to play. It rewards a board built to feed it and punishes impatience, since a partially charged Planet does nothing but tap for white.
