Elf tribal has always priced its lords cheaply and asked them to survive: Elvish Champion, Elvish Archdruid, Imperious Perfect. This one inverts the arithmetic. Its own body scales off the tribe rather than pumping the rest of it, and it counts a resource most Elf payoffs ignore entirely: the graveyard. Reading both zones is the wrinkle that changes the math against every anthem effect that came before, because it turns sweepers and sacrifice loops from tribal disasters into fuel for whatever Elves survive them. A field cleared of a dozen nontoken Elves does not shrink this creature if it dodges the wipe; the count simply relocates from the battlefield to the yard, and the size holds. That distinction matters precisely because it does not extend to exile: a wipe that removes Elves from the game rather than killing them still cuts down whatever's left, so the size it preserves is specifically against destruction and death of your other Elves, not against every form of removal. Vigilance and menace are the pieces that make the scaling matter offensively: a threat that keeps growing as your other Elves fall to a single sweeper and can't be chump-blocked by one token is a genuine clock, not a pillow-fort centerpiece. Both halves of the ability push toward the same wide, recursive, mass-of-small-creatures shell the archetype was already building, so the card rarely asks for anything you weren't doing. What it adds is a payoff that reads the graveyard, one that wants an entire tribe both alive and dead behind it, and gets bigger the harder you push on both.
