The self-mill is the unusual part: where mill is normally a clock you point at an opponent, here it is the activation key, aimed at yourself, and the upkeep trigger is the only labor the card ever asks of you. Once it transforms, the mill trigger disappears entirely: the engine spends itself the moment it pays out, and what remains is a flyer with no upkeep obligation. It belongs to a family of evasive bodies whose flip conditions are wagers weighted at deckbuilding rather than resolved in play: the floor is a serviceable flyer with an upkeep trigger, the ceiling depends on draws you loaded but cannot schedule. The friction is built into the setup rather than the activation. It never demands a play from you, only that you assembled a deck dense enough to make the die roll pay out.
