Zimone's Hypothesis

Instant3 generic manaBlue manaBlue mana

A board wipe that asks you to do arithmetic first. The optional counter is the trick: bump one creature's power from even to odd (or odd to even) before you choose which parity gets swept, and you carve your own board out of the wrath while sending the opponent's back to hand. That single-counter dial turns a symmetrical effect into a deliberately asymmetrical one, and it does so at instant speed, which is where the real design lives. Most mass bounce is a sorcery-speed reset; this one waits on the stack, letting you flash it in after attackers commit, in response to a pump spell that shifts someone across the parity line, or during an opponent's step before their untap to blank their side. Bounce rather than destruction matters too: it dodges indestructible, resets auras and counters, and punishes expensive permanents by forcing their controller to recast them, never using the word "destroy" that so many decks are built to answer. The parity split is what keeps the sweep from being total: you cannot hit everything, you must pick a side, and reading the board correctly (then nudging it with the counter) is the whole exercise. It rewards the kind of player who counts before casting.
