Zebra Unicorn

Creature — Unicorn2 generic manaGreen manaWhite mana

The lifegain trigger is the whole reason this exists, and the body Wizards bolted it to can barely fuel it: a 2/2 that connects unblocked nets two life, the kind of incremental drip combat math rarely cares about. What keeps the design from being inert is the wording. The trigger reads "deals damage," not "deals combat damage," so a pump spell or a damage-boosting effect scales the lifegain alongside the swing, and any source of damage the creature throws (not just attacks) feeds the clock back into your life total. That same generosity is why the floor sits so low: take the enablers away and you have four mana for a small body whose only rider is a trigger it cannot reliably power on its own. It belongs to the broad family of green-white "fair" creatures from the era that asked you to supply the leverage yourself, printed well before lifegain had a payoff structure built around it. Treat it as an honest, premature attempt at a recurring life engine on a stick, a design that needed tools the format had not yet invented to make it matter.
