Writhing Chrysalis
The Eldrazi have always paid for their power in ramp: Eldrazi Spawn and Scion tokens exist to be sacrificed for the colorless mana that fuels the titans above them. This design turns that disposable fodder into a growth engine. The two Spawn are minted when you cast the spell, so they exist even if it is countered, and they can be cracked for mana at instant speed to accelerate into a bigger cast the same turn the drone lands. The second half closes the loop without any tension: every Eldrazi sacrificed elsewhere, the Spawn very much included, adds a +1/+1 counter to the drone. Sacrificing those tokens for colorless does both jobs on the same click, feeding the ramp and the body at once, so there is no agonizing choice between acceleration and counters. That folds aristocrats logic (sacrifice-as-resource) into a tribe that was already sacrificing constantly for mana, and pays it back in a board presence that scales rather than a mana total that merely spikes. Reach and devoid are the quiet structural pieces: devoid keeps it inside the colorless-Eldrazi payoff web that cares about the type but not the color, and reach lets a card built to trade away its fodder still hold a defensive line while the counters accrue. The real design move is making the sacrifice-for-mana subtheme want to keep sacrificing after the ramp is finished, because now the fuel line is also the clock.
