The bargain is total commitment: perfect five-color fixing, the kind that normally costs you a fragile manabase or a stack of dual lands, in exchange for surrendering the freedom to cut anything. The restriction keys off your entire card pool, every card you brought to the table, not just the deck you registered. To keep lands producing any color, all of it has to start in your library or command zone, which means no sideboard, no held-back removal for the matchup, no flexibility between games. You commit the whole pool or you get nothing. That is the elegant part of the design: it converts a deckbuilding sacrifice into raw consistency, the same trade a hard mono-color discipline asks for, except here the reward is the opposite of mono-color (it frees you to play whatever colors you opened). As a conspiracy, it sidesteps mana cost and card economy entirely by starting the game face up in the command zone, never costing a draw or a slot. That is precisely why the payoff has to be gated by a behavioral rule rather than a price: with nothing to charge in mana or cards, the only currency left is your willingness to run the dregs of your pool alongside the bombs. The text reads as a blank check for fixing; the leash is that you cannot leave a single card on the bench to earn it.
