Wolverine, Claws Out
Two abilities point in opposite directions, and the tension between them is the whole design. The first lets combat damage land as though Wolverine weren't blocked: not a restriction on how he can be blocked, but a clause that ignores blockers for damage assignment entirely, closer in function to trample or unblockable than to any evasion keyword. On a 2/5 body that reads oddly at first: why hand through-damage to a creature statted like a wall? The second clause answers it. Doubling a Mutant's power when it attacks turns that durable frame into a threat that hits harder than its printed power suggests, and because the trigger fires for every attacking Mutant you control, it scales with a board rather than pumping a single swinger. Wolverine himself becomes a 4-power attacker whose damage cannot be chumped: the doubling resolves in the declare attackers step, before blockers are even chosen, and the through-damage clause makes that doubled figure land no matter how the block shakes out. But the ability is anthem-shaped, rewarding a wide creature-type theme rather than a single beatstick. This is a tribal capstone: durable enough to survive the turns it takes to assemble a board, aggressive enough to convert that board the moment it commits. The 2/5 line is not the point; the point is what every other Mutant does once it swings.
