Windbrisk Heights

Land

The hideaway clause turns a tapland into a payoff for the one thing white aggressive decks were already doing: swarming the board and turning sideways. The condition is precise and combat-locked, requiring three attackers in a turn before the exiled card unlocks, which makes this land dead weight in any deck that cannot reliably field a wide board. That restriction is the whole design contract. The trigger lets you peek at the top four cards and stash one face down while the rest scatter to the bottom, so you are choosing the biggest swing you can imagine playing for free later; the up-front price is the tempo hit of a land that enters tapped, and the deferred price is the activation itself, which still demands a tap and a white mana before the bomb resolves. What it skips is the exiled card's own mana cost, not all cost. The coupling of unlock and exposure is the sharp part: the free spell can only fire once you have already committed three creatures to combat, so the payoff resolves at your most vulnerable moment, with your board pushed forward and tapped down. You earn the bomb precisely when you are most overextended, which is the trade the design extracts for ducking the casting cost. It does not slot into any white deck that wants cheated spells; it pays out for the go-wide token plan specifically, and it asks the deck to keep attacking to collect.
