Willow Dryad

Creature — DryadGreen mana

Forestwalk is the oldest landwalk in the game, and this 1/1 embodies its structural flaw with unusual purity: the evasion only functions when the opponent plays the same color the card itself is built in. Against a Forest deck it slips past every blocker for a single green mana; against anything else it is the smallest body a creature can have and nothing more. The keyword carries the card, and the stats were never meant to do more than exist underneath it, which is a kind of design honesty: a one-mana demonstration that some creatures cannot be blocked, with the lesson costing exactly one point of power the moment the matchup stops cooperating. It comes from a starter product aimed at players learning the rules, where "can't be blocked if they have a Forest" still read as upside enough to define a card by itself. Landwalk has aged into a niche for precisely this reason; later design largely abandoned color-dependent evasion in favor of keywords that work regardless of what the opponent is doing. This is a fossil of the era when feast-or-famine evasion, dependent entirely on what lands sit across the table, was considered a meaningful enough hook to build a green one-drop around.
