Wicked // Cursed
Not a card you cast: this is the physical double-sided token a Role-granting effect leaves on the table so both players can track which enchantment currently sits on a creature. The spell or ability that creates it names the specific Role, and the printed cardboard does the bookkeeping a face-down card or a loose counter never could. The Wicked face is a +1/+1 Aura with a parting shot: when it hits the graveyard, each opponent loses 1 life, so trading off or destroying the enchanted creature still costs your opponents a point apiece (no life comes back to you). The Cursed face is the surgical one, and its wording rewards careful reading. Setting the enchanted creature to a fixed 1/1 rewrites the creature at that layer rather than subtracting a number, which sidesteps the toughness-math problems a straight minus runs into. It does not erase everything, though: pumps and +1/+1 counters still stack on top of the new floor, so Cursed cuts a naturally large body down rather than negating a pile of buffs. Bundling an offensive Aura and a defensive shrink into a single named-token vocabulary is the quiet economy worth noticing: one word on a rules-granting card resolves to a whole Aura, and one piece of cardboard carries both halves of the mechanic.
