Weldfast Engineer
Built for artifact-aggro decks that want their metal hitting harder, this is a payoff stapled to a body rather than a value engine. The trigger asks for nothing but an artifact creature to target, and it fires automatically at the start of combat, so the +2/+0 lands before blockers are declared rather than as a reactive trick. That timing is the whole point: the boost commits during your own combat step, where the opponent has to respect a bigger attacker without knowing whether you also have instant-speed interaction behind it. In Rakdos colors, the design leans on red's aggression and black's removal to clear a lane, then turns a small Servo or a construct token into a real clock. The catch is that this is a Human, not an artifact creature, so it cannot pump itself: its 3/3 body shows up to attack and trade, but the ability always points at something else. That makes it an enabler that wants company, and a board with a single artifact creature is the floor of its usefulness. As two-color artifact support, it reads as honest aggro glue, worth running only once a deck has already committed to going wide on artifacts.
