Weathered Wayfarer
Land tutoring with a catch-up clause welded onto the activation: the tap fires only when an opponent controls more lands than you. That gate is the entire design philosophy. Most land-search effects accelerate the player already winning the resource war; this one switches on only when you are behind, which makes it a stabilizer rather than a ramp piece. The fetch is also better than it looks, pulling any land card rather than only basics, so it threads utility lands, duals, and creature-lands into hand one at a time while you sit behind on board. The asymmetry resolves itself naturally as the game tilts: drop a few lands, close the deficit, and the activation goes dark, leaving the Wayfarer a quiet 1/1 with nothing left to do. White rarely gets to touch its own library this freely, and the color's traditional weakness (no native card advantage, no ramp of its own) is exactly the gap this fills, with a restriction that prevents it from becoming a generic value tap. The body is incidental; the value lives in converting a manabase deficit into a repeatable selection engine, available precisely when a one-pip Cleric is most likely to still be alive to keep tapping.
