Warped Tusker

The trigger fires whether you hard-cast it or cycle it away, and that dual entry point is the whole engineering job here. The stumbling point at seven mana has always been that a fatty stuck in hand is a dead card; the fix is a body that never stays dead. Cast it late and the Eldrazi Spawn is a nearly free rider on a 6/8 wall with reach. Pinched early, cycle it for two and a green, dig for the card you actually need, and still net a colorless ramp token on the way out. That token doubles as colorless mana and as fodder: it can sacrifice for mana to hit your next drop, or feed a sacrifice engine, which means the card contributes to the board even when you decide you want nothing to do with the boar itself. The design lineage runs through cycling's old bargain (a big creature that refuses to be a mulligan liability, in the vein of Decree of Justice or Krosan Tusker) but pushes it further by leaving a permanent behind either way. Krosan Tusker, the obvious ancestor, cycled into a land and a card; this trades that guaranteed fixing for a token you can spend on your own terms and a stat line built to actually block Eldrazi. It is a curve-topper that refuses to sit idle in hand, which is the rarest thing a seven-drop can offer.
