Wanda's Vision

Enchantment3 generic manaRed manaRed mana

Cascade always keyed off the moment of casting: pay for a spell, cascade fires, and you dig into a smaller-mana card. This inverts the trigger. The cast that matters is not the enchantment itself but the second spell you cast each turn, and the free card it finds carries no mana-value ceiling at all. That single change reroutes the whole reward. Where cascade caps its find beneath the spell that triggered it, this pays out the first nonland card on top regardless of cost, so the incentive is not to play cheap and chain downward but to stuff the deck with expensive spells and simply hit your second cast every turn. The color choice fits the impulse: red has long owned the "cast something for free" fantasy, from ritual-fueled starts to the play-off-the-top swings of Etali-style effects, and this folds that greed into a repeatable payout you can lean on turn after turn. The friction lives in the counting. Two spells a turn is trivial in a dense low-curve shell and a real constraint in a top-heavy one, and that is the tension driving deckbuilding: you want big free cards, but the trigger rewards volume, and the deck has to be built to do both. Nothing about the free spell is guaranteed to be big; it is whatever sits atop your library. The engine is only as good as the deck feeding it.

Whenever you cast your second spell each turn, exile cards from the top of your library until you exile a nonland card. You may cast that card without paying its mana cost.
